Contest to name local park

There's a new park in the village. A few months ago they had a contest to name it. I entered with (name of former mayor's wife who recently passed) Memorial Park. At the last Board meeting they narrowed it down to three names for the citizens to select from as a final choice, but mine didn't make the cut. Here are the three final choices - which do you think will win?

Revolution Park

Still Water's View

The Park in the Village

I can't say I like any of them. Revolution Park sounds insurgent, and like was already mentioned, Still Water's View sound like a cemetery, and The Park in the Village lacks imagination. I would have liked to know names that were submitted, but didn't make the finals.
I'm with you, I'm not crazy about any of them either. Revolution Park is the worst of the three.

I have to assume they got better names than this. Wonder what they are thinking.

Yes, the Battles of Saratoga took place not far from here. Locals capitalize on that.

I also don't know if the names of the people who submitted entries were known to the board or if it was anonymous. If they knew someone that entered the contest, they could throw the vote their way.

How about, ... "The Drop Off" ... ... :coffee: ...

Lets all hang together because we shall "Shirley" hang separately.

"Don't call me Shirley!"

:giggle: I was just about to type that I don't know which will win, but Still Water's View sounds like a cemetery. :ROFLMAO: I must have heard of one named that or close to it.
One that I made up for a short story that I wrote a long time ago. ...Morbid Marble Arches. JIM.
