In an australian school the fence was damaged by high winds.
The Principal issued a Tender for the works.
First arrived a Vietnamese: He gave an estimate of $ 700.00 for the repair.
Being a public property, Principal was obliged to ask for the "Break down, of the costs".
Vietnamese explained:"$ 300.00 material, $ 300.00 for work, and $100.00 profit"
Next was an Italian contractor. the same story, the same question, but Italian was estimating $ 900.00 for the job !
"how did you come up with that figure?" asked the Principal.
"Well, $ 400.00 material, $ 400.00 labour, and $ 100.00 profit".
Then arrived Aussie. His Quotation was $ 2.700.00.
"How did you come up, with that cost?" asked the principal.
"A thousand for you, a thousand for me and $ 700.00 for the Vietnamese, to do the job!".
