His career in entertainment divides roughly in half: from 1948 to 1965, he was the dominant morning drive-time radio host in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; from the late 1960s to the mid-1980s, he was a successful voice, television, and film actor in Los Angeles, California.

Cordic, Rege - Bingo - 1964
Famous in his native Pittsburgh Pennsylvania for his 'Cordic and Company' morning radio show in the 1950s and 1960s (WWSW-AM and KDKA-AM).

Saw that name, thought I was imagining things, haha. Lived in Pugh during many of those years & remember him well. He had a really “out there” personality for the times, great satirist, nothing was sacred.

He ended up in California, and had guest spots on shows such as Law & Order, playing a judge, or other similar roles. His humor did not go over like it did in Pittsburgh, and he sort of stayed under the radar. He had a very distinctive voice and may have done voice overs and commercials. Regis passed away on April 16, 1999 at the age of 72.

On Facebook I follow a guy called “Pittsburgh Dad”, can be pretty funny sometimes. I think Iron City sponsors some of his stuff. He’s a master of the “Picksburg” dialect.

@Geezerette Yesterday we were food shopping, and while checking out I noticed our cashier's name tag. His name is Art, but the back was facing out and his last name was included. I mentioned that there was an Art Pallan, who broadcast on KDKA, Radio. He smiled, flipped his name tag around to the front, and said "That was my Dad"! He talked about all of the interesting people he was around, as a kid, and one of his highlights was meeting the announcer, Herb Morrison, who broadcast the Hindenburg disaster.

I remember Art Pallan too! He always seemed so mellow. Seems to me I remember some brewery actually produced some “ Old Frothingslosh” one holiday season. And of course I shopped at the “Gian Teegle”.
