Be careful. There are a lot of garbage quality, paper and spun-fiber masks out there. The ones we bought for my tattoo shop are great quality, and I used to pay $6.95/50. I still have a few hundred on hand. We wear them under the pleated cloth masks to protect them. Without the surgical masks, BTW, those cloth masks are, mostly, a joke! CV19 is 125 nm in diameter. The pores in some cotton fabrics are far wider than that. There are cotton fabrics with smaller pores, down to 50nm, but you have to know what you're getting. That's almost impossible to find out.
The real obscenity is 3M not making enough N95 masks to get them out to the public, again. I have a few of those, too, but they have the valve. If the no-valve models come out, again, and are the real deal, I'll buy a few hundred. I found it absurd when the public was told to not buy N95's, not to even wear N95's, so healthcare workers could have them all. Yeah, great: "Y'all don't wear the best protection available, so we in the medical profession can keep a steady inflow of patients with CV19 coming into our facilities." Makes great sense...NOT!
If the powers that be had ordered 3M to stop profiteering with its sales to other countries, and to step up US production and supplies, right at the beginning of this garbage, to the point where everyone had N95 masks to wear, this virus would NEVER have racked up the death toll it currently has, and the hospitals would not have had to worry about shortages, because they wouldn't have the patients to treat! (Yeah, I know, so many ignoramuses out there would have ignored wearing the masks, from the beginning, as they do now. Pathetic!)
