I am a people watcher, always have been. Love people, never need a zoo when mixing with the masses.

One of my all time favorites, Costume Folks! Classic Rocker seems to be one, with his talk abot wranglers and boots and such. Met an bona fide Westerner, once. My Uncles Father in Law. Had a place outside of Ogden, seems he raised chickens. This old guy, Always the BOLO Tie the piped seams on his pants and the pearl button shirts. I think he was authentic though.
Worked with a guy, big sports nut, always wearing some symbol of sport, be it a pro jersey,a little league umpire shirt or whatever. He had a need to let other know of his avocation.
He is by no means alone.
There is no rule that says you need to dress a certain way to ride a bike. "Biker" garb is no more or less effective than any reasonable clothing, yet most motorcycle owners can be identified in a crowd.

I dress to disappear. The only branded clothing I own are a couple of ball caps.

I like to wear western boots and have since the late 70's but that certainly doesn't make me a cowboy nor do I try to pass myself off as being one......I just happen to like the way they look.

I have boots that I consider casual and then I have what I consider dress boots like the black goat skin Luchesse's pictured.
