WOW!! Cannot believe I am turning the page to another chapter in my life on Saturday 11/23. I am excited for the next chapter which should be very interesting and exciting.

I will be celebrating at one of my favorite restaurants with family and friends. We are a fun bunch. Hubby will be fixing me a Champagne breakfast..which is a tradition. Not sure why I am embracing 60 gracefully...probably because I don't look it nor feel like it. I was one to never tell my age.. but I will shout it from the roof top..I AM 60!!:ROFLMAO:

THANK YOU SO MUCH SeaBreeze!!! I have goodie bags for my guest.. Also have a 60th Birthday Guest book for my birthday crew to sign. I will turn 60 only once, making the most of it!!
 

It just sort of happened to me naturally. One day I was 59 and the next I was 60. Groan, I was getting old and then Mrs.L said I wasn't a year older, I was just a day older. That cheered me up no end.
Now I don't worry about birthdays. Thing about time is that it only happens once. Every day I become one day older than yesterday.

But hey ho, you've got an excuse to go a bit wild. Have a great day and grow old disgracefully.

I like that... I am a day older tomorrow:ROFLMAO: And I will grow old disgracefully.. love it!!! I don't worry either, as long as I am alive, birthdays will come so I embrace them and ENJOY!!!🍾
 
Happy Birthday, Ladybj. On a senior's forum like this one, you're not going to find anyone all that excited for you, though. Most of us have gone through that and know how fast it gets to be 70. So, really enjoy being that young. I mean it, really, really, enjoy it. I didn't get excited enough to appreciate that age. But I do always say no matter what age anyone is now, you're gonna wish you were that age again.

Edit: The younger members can't possibly understand what they haven't gone through yet. I'm just saying appreciate it because it's so easy to take it for granted.

Thanks Olivia... not looking for others to be excited... bottom line I AM VERY EXCITED. And I don't take it for granted. I went through a rough period in my life and I am so happy to make it to 60 because so many have not made it this far and some are bedridden and some are mentally challenged, and some are homeless, and some have just loss their spouse and don't know where to turn.. So, I am not looking for anyone to be excited for me... Again, I am excited for myself. I am excited for all that has made it to 60, 70, 80 and beyond. I pray when I am 70, I can be excited for someone turning 60... I will because it is very exciting for me. I will always keep this positive excitement with each stage of my life... TOO BLESS TO BE STRESSED!!!

Happy 60th. Hope your day is going well.

60th birthdays have become quite familiar here at our home. In the last 3 years, 2 of our kids have hit that mark and another will hit it in February. But to us, they're still our "kids" - - right?
