Couple of Pics on Mackinac Island

Tidying up some old albums and these pics brought back memories of a super bus trip I took years ago with some friends.
It started in Canada , Agawa Canyon etc ( can't find those pics) and ended in Michigan

The marvellous Grand Hotel where we had lunch and visited the area where some scenes from that lovely old film Somewhere in Time was shot
and had a ride in the carriage




Then a visit to Market Street Inn where I met this lovely old couple

My sister once lived in Ann Arbor, MI and I visited Mackinac with her a few times. We had the miles long lunch buffet at the Grand Hotel, and another time we had high tea there in the afternoon. Our parents were with us and it was their 63rd anniversary. Very beautiful place and great memories. I know you enjoyed your visit there.

Yes, we lunched in that long dining room...amazing. I have a picture of that too, somewhere.....
I have many pictures of trips I made over the years. Thing is in looking at some of them I am thinking,...now where was that...haha...left it too long but I will look at them more often and I will remember and make notes especially the European ones. Obvious ones like Arc de Triomphe and Leaning Tower of Pisa, Stonehenge etc., no problem but I do have some lovely scenic and architectural shots.
