Cousin Taken to Hospital

I sent an email to my aunt today inquiring about my cousin and the reply was that my cousin is still in rehab, but not doing very well. That's all I know as of now.

I don't know if she's allowed visitors, but since she never visited my mom when she was sick for the last time, or even sent a card, I'm not in a hurry to make a call.

It's possible she may never get out of the place and she will pass away there. You are not obligated to visit or call if you don't want to.

Just received an urgent prayer request from the church I attend. Another cousin has taken ill. In the photo, he's the one the arrow is pointing to. Blood clot in lung.

Not heard anything about her. She is also a cousin of the one with the blood clot. In the photo, the two on the outside ends are brother and sister and the two in the middle of the sofa are, also. The one that wasn't in the photo and I are the 'only' children of the 6 cousins.

A pulmonary embolism is another bad thing that can kill. I think that's what took Dan Blocker (Hoss Cartwright) down, wasn't it? Didn't he get a PE after gallbladder surgery?

My aunt - the mother of the male cousin - posted on Yahoo mail that he "came home from the hospital and has a new prescription & is looking forward to going to work tomorrow!!"

This is a cousin epidemic! Just received an email from the church secretary that the cousin (one on far right in phopto) just missed being in a serious auto accident with his camper. Am I next for a tragedy?

Received the prayer list from church and another cousin, the second from left in photo, suffered a fall. I gather from the email that she's doing okay, fortunately.

WOW, a whole week and no other cousin tragedies. It's like waiting for the other shoe to drop.

I received an email from the church secretary that the cousin I originally posted about fell out of bed at the rehab center.

My cousin is home. She was discharged from the rehab facility.

I had an email from my aunt saying that this cousin had been in the hospital again and was on a respirator while there. Double pneumonia. After they took her off, they sent het to rehab, but rehab immediately discharged her saying that her son and husband could giver her the same care as they could. I read between the lines that her insurance may not cover rehab care.
