Covid in Florida

My brother lives in Miami and he was telling me how bad it was there. He and his wife rarely go out anymore even having their groceries delivered.

In my county: 41 year old middle school teacher and 32 year old county police deputy among Covid deaths yesterday and governor is still trying to stop mask wearing even though our vaccination rate is only 45%
I'm also in Central Florida. Our governor is running for president; that's a big part of the problem. I'd like to know if he or any of the other mask refusers would be happy if their surgeons decided it was their right to wear masks or not -- and didn't.

The governor has his sight set on the next presidential election
Yes, and this is a part of his strategy. He's a smart man and I think he is betting that by 2024 this will all have past and he can point to it as the right thing to have done. Not that I support him, but I am hoping this doesn't turn out too badly for the people of Florida and elsewhere.
remember, this is Florida. We are known for our beaches and sunshine, not for our intelligence
LOL! I grew up mostly in Florida and lived there many years. I get this one!
