Coworker tested positive for COVID

This is the reason my wife has ONLY been looking for "remote" type accounting jobs. Work from home or not work at all, right now.
One company actually wanted her, wearing a mask, to interview in person at the company. She asked me about doing it and I said "absolutely not". Either on the phone or video on the computer. She totally agreed.

I came home early from work from not feeling well. I'm scheduled for covid testing Friday @ 10:30 and quarantine until test come back negative. I don't think I have covid as I am nearly certain my discomfort is related to recent oral surgery.

My friend's future daughter in law has just been tested positive with the virus- she is a teacher and last week the school had to shut down one of the year classes that she had taught. She must now be isolated in her bedroom/room for 10 days - fortunately she has an en- suite in her bedroom. Her partner is negative but must isolate for 14 days. They must stay separate and cannot have meals together during that time or be in the same area. They cannot walk their dog or let others walk their dog.
She first noticed something wrong because she could not taste or smell anything.

I was tested yesterday, it was very discomforting. My first COVID test was in preparation of surgery. It was a casual swab inside my nostril. Friday’s test was much different, the nurse shoved the swab to the rear of my nostril and held it there with much pressure. Instinctively my mouth opened wide trying to scream. It hurt.

It seems a lot is happening in my life making it difficult to recover. I feel I’m living in a deficit not totally getting well or at least taking a long time recuperate. I am fragile and easier to break than before. Old age I suppose.
