I did CPR on a cat of mine who fell from the top of a wardrobe onto the floor during a nap. Her eyes had rolled back, she wasn't breathing. She wasn't real pleased about it. When she woke up, she slapped me very violently about the face.
I've always believed that feeling for a pulse in an animal should be done in the groin area.
