Credit card fraud sneaky low monthly charges. READ bill in detail

Recently experienced some credit card fraud in which I realized it was about a $14.00 charge a month. The line description on was so long the print was smaller. Since my monthly bill was about what I expected checking for a few known charges. Anyway in that fine print was amazon prime. Point being read those cc statements monthly in detail. The cc company said let them handle the investigation, don't inquire myself. The refunded charges, issued a new card(most frustrating thing because took the longest to complete). READ, don't glance at monthly statements.

No problem for me because I micro-manage my finances. Why was Amazon Prime in fine print? Each time someone tried to perpetrate fraudulent activity on my cards (happened with two different ones in a couple of years span), the companies caught it themselves, put a hold on my cards and notified me. Subsequently new card/numbers were issued.

Most entries have a category and location but this had/read like an introductory sentence to novel. Like I said so many words the print was reduced to fit on one line. Maybe that's how the thieves disguised their location or it's an actual amazon entry. Does Amazon bill out of Washington state?

Bezos needs all the help he can get.

"New York: Amazon founder and CEO Jeff Bezos has bought a $16 million, 3,000 square foot apartment in New York which is adjacent to condos worth $80 million he already owns. The newly-bought apartment has three bedrooms and three and a half baths that is a floor below the others he already owns, reports the CNN.Apr 18, 2020 "
