CUBITAL tunnel syndrome?

This is a new one to me. Little finger of left hand has been going completely numb for a few days. Looked up carpel tunnel syndrome and found that is the ONLY finger not affected, and stumbled on this one.

Think it's because I've been leaning my elbow on the desk while sitting at the computer. Started being more aware and NOT doing that only yesterday. Will try rearranging some furniture or changing height of chair if that doesn't make a difference.

Wonder how long it takes to make it go away. Sure didn't help after just 24 hours. ;)

Anyone have this?

I don't have it and didn't really know about it until you mentioned it Nancy. You're smart for changing the position of your arm and elbow when using the computer, I'm sure this is what caused it. I doubt if the symptoms would go away in one day, probably more like a couple of weeks or more before you're back to normal.

I would definitely give gentle massage to the elbow area and forearm up to the fingers. Use Magnesium Oil if you have it, that will help too. Since it involves inflammation, things like Omega 3 fish oil, Turmeric/Curcumin, MSM, etc. may help. Check for drug interactions if you're on any prescription meds. Good luck, hope you feel better soon.

Thanks, SeaBreeze. Good video. It doesn't hurt, just pins and needles. Think I may have nipped it in the bud.;)

I had numbness in my right hand little finger right ring finger many years ago. Had to have surgery. If the numbness doesn't go away, you might want to see a dr.

Interesting side note.. Having cared for Open Heart patients, many would complain of "Pinkie" finger numbness after surgery. That is due to them laying for the lengthy surgery with pressure on the ulnar nerve when their arms are strapped to the boards. Fortunately it's temporary,
