I’ve just found out a long term male friend keeps a teddy bear on his pillow ! he’s the last person I would’ve considered was into cuddly toys but he said it was a gift from a lady friend

Do you have any cuddly toys and, would you give one as a gift, or like to receive one ?

Two years ago I got the biggest, nicest white teddy bear I’d ever seen and I loved it.
It was so big it was like cuddling a human but something happened to it  and I’ll forever miss it.
So YES , with the right ultra soft plush stuffed animal, I’m a total softy. Normally I’m not overly fond of them but this one had sentimental value.

I would definitely give one as a gift and would adore receiving one.

The only 'Cuddly Toy' that I would be interested in....................

Would breath like me.............

Talk like me.............

Eat like me............

And, most important..........Cuddle me......:bigwink:

Not sure it's exactly "cuddly", but for many years I had a stuffed Opus (the cartoon character) on a shelf above my desk. I was a fan of that comic strip when the kids were little and they bought it for me as a gift. It got packed for our last move and is still in a box in the basement somewhere.

I have a soft cuddly 9" aromatherapy Lavender teddy bear on my nightstand. Have had it for years.. it has a sachel of dried lavender flowers/grain inside. When the lavender scent fades, which isn't very often, it can go into the microwave to refresh.

When my granddaughters would come to spent the night with me, they would always fight over who gets Teddy. These days, they have their own little scented bears.

This goes back to when I was maybe three
Ted E Bear

Brown and tan

Had a plastic nose
That was dented in on one side

He liked to stay on the bed
Waited for me all day

He listened to all my thoughts
….and cared

He sorta started to come apart at the sides
But I’d stuff his guts back in and tuck him in

Not sure whatever happened to him

Damn parents

Our elder daughter has a number of Steiff animals, including a lovely limited edition teddy bear. Last year we bought her a Steiff hare for her birthday. She decided that he was actually a Jedi knight and renamed him Bunny wan kenobi. Subsequently Mrs.L made him a Jedi cape and I made an illuminating "light sabre".

Our daughter is a senior university lecturer and also has a glove puppet raccoon called Ringo which she used as a teaching aid.

One of the rules in my apt building is NO Pets, being a life long dog lover is tough not to have one.

I have a few. Not to cuddle but to display. They all have a special meaning. The cat looks just like the real one we had at the time. The bunny dolls sit in the chair my Grandpa made for me as a child and the old man doll was bought by my Mom and
Dad while they were on vacation, cat (800x600).jpgold man (600x800).jpgrabbits (600x800).jpgall handmade. I also have my daughters Cabbage Patch doll displayed in her room.

I have a plush stuffed dog that a boyfriend gave me when I was 16 years old and I've kept it all these years. It's on the bed in the spare room where grandkids sleep when they visit.
