Current CDC Flu Activity Map

Flu season is peaking right now here in Canada, where I live anyway. It always does this time of year due to all the gatherings and people spending more time around others while shopping etc.

All reports are that this year's flu strain is a really bad one, just as it was for Australia earlier this year plus the vaccine they created this year is apparently off the mark to a degree for the strain that we have. Still better than nothing but not max. protection :(

So keep your distance as best you can and wash, wash, wash those hands as much as possible and try to keep your fingers away from your face. Good luck everyone🤞
 

Not many cases in my northern California region yet, so am not going to start wearing an N95 mask yet into supermarkets, and am still going out to crowded live music night clubs. Saturday was at a street EDM event in downtown San Francisco where mostly young adults were packed like sardines down a confined street. And then last night Monday was in a packed smaller night club. This afternoon will attend a probably half full small movie theater for Avatar.
 
This state is also high risk on that map; I live in a rural area, far from any cities and very far from major cities. I see very few people, maybe two a week. Just gives me a reason to not go to town, which isn't often anyway. And the first thing I do when I come home is wash my hands.
