heard on news: seems big?
Anyone experience trouble?

We mostly use Cash App. I use Zelle so infrequently, I wouldn't know if there are problems with it. One thing I found out years ago is that if you're using Zelle with one financial institution, you cannot use it with another. My primary bank actually sent me a notice stating I could not use Zelle with them for that reason.

zelle scam - Bing

  • Scammers use Zelle because transactions are quick and hard to track.
  • Beware of urgent payment requests, text messages containing links, and unsolicited overpayments.
  • Scammers may ask for your Zelle security code to authorize a payment to themselves.
  • Criminals are using Zelle to drain victims' bank accounts.
  • Banks and credit unions are not (responsible) for money lost from --- ( P2P ) --- scams. OH BOY!
Think lots of drive thru branch banks are closing and become Nicotine distribution shops.
Lots of savvy paychecks are getting cashed and not going to Bank accounts. Would you
a $15 an hour hamburger flipper put up with saving interest rates now a day? Pay your
rent in cash, reciept, only the heat bill and you pay it with a money order. Our renter pays
cash. Sometimes a couple days late but she is unwed mother and working her buttock off.
I forget the last Book of Flags $$ but it was in double digit costs. Ones in their 20's don't
go to USPS office anymore.

Heck a Bag of blank checks costs $35 --- Everyone forced to pay with Apps and Q-Codes. More scams alarms.
It's been years since I saw anyone paying for anything with a check at any store or anywhere for that matter.

No problems here with Zelle. I use it only in certain situations, but it works like a charm if you're careful. Especially useful for sending funds to family members who live out of state - MUCH safer than sending a check!
