curtesy on the Roads.........

When someone finally lets me into a line of traffic from a parking lot, I like to blow kisses to them.
Haha rose, , I ll try that next time....I normally put a thumbs up and mouth Thankyou ,
Then they reply with their hazard lights.....

Aww, driving can be nice sometimes....

Also my hubby waves at everyone when he’s in the car ...😂😂 ,

Morning Charry. Between that and the fact that they can't follow simple driving safety it's very frustrating. I mainly go to work and home. That's pretty much it anymore.

First, there is no "them". It's US. We've all cut other drivers off, etc. We're all late for something. And we've all experienced "rage", while behind the wheel. We may not have put that rage into action, but we've all experienced it. Just because we are enclosed within a car, it doesn't mean we don't respond emotionally to what we consider disrespect, but the security of a car provides the shield to act on our emotions.
When I came out of the hospital, I thought that if I drove real slow, I could handle driving. So, in a 55 mph zone, I was driving 30. Cars were passing me all the time. Then it dawned on me that while I was safe, I was causing other drivers to take risks. The fact was if I couldn't handle driving at 55mph, I should have never been on the road. So I stopped driving. My point being, we all contribute to driving problems.

Any more, I try to avoid going anywhere during "rush hour". I had to fight that BS when I was working, but now, in retirement, we schedule our driving time so as to avoid the 8AM and 5PM times. Here, in the more rural areas, it's not too bad, but I'd rather have a tooth pulled than get stuck in the evening traffic in Kansas City.
That would be a close tie on that ...
😆

The Most important thing, when driving in heavy traffic, is to "go with the flow". If traffic is moving slowly, slow down. If everyone is doing 75, keep up. Drivers who drive too slow, or too fast, compared to those around them, substantially increase the risks of causing an accident.

I've been through Missouri. *Shudders*

I-70, between Kansas City and St. Louis, has some of the nations heaviest truck traffic, and it's a real challenge trying to avoid getting stuck behind several of them occupying both lanes while trying to drive up an incline. Whenever we go to Kansas City, we stay on 50 highway....a much better drive, and we get to/from faster than fighting the mess on the Interstate.

The same here....I go from A to B.....and no further if I can help it....
It’s a waste of time getting a nice motor ,as you can’t drive anywhere now !

On that stretch of interstate there's also cement guard rails. 💀

Some Boston drivers get in the left turning lane, and turn right when the light changes.

Here in PA, my biggest problem is with huge pickup trucks riding my bumper, I guess to force me to go way over the speed limit. I am usually driving a bit over the speed limit, like 60 or 64 in a 55 mph zone. The highway is lightly traveled and I've seen the State Police on that road twice in 11 years. Heck, I had to call them twice, and they showed up an hour later, which I found out is typical.

When I am driving, I pretend like the people in the cars around me are people I know and love. This keeps me from getting angry or impatient with other drivers.
