We are on our second black cat, and they have only enhanced our lives. The fat one with no tail and the big eyes is named Bugsy, so he also keeps us endlessly entertained.

My mom was an unsafe driver - always speeding, not paying attention, many tickets, accidents, etc. I always argued with her about her driving. Every time she wrecked a car, my dad always told her "You're nuts."
When I was 10, she was pulled over for speeding again on the way home from my piano lesson. My piano teacher had 2 Black cats. My mom blamed the cats for her speeding ticket.
Not the fact that she was going 60 mph in a 35 mph zone......it was THOSE CATS.
I'd laugh at her & she'd tell me to "Shut up," which (of course) made me laugh more.
