Dad's Birthday

Today would have been my dad's 99th birthday. Here he is on a long ago summer day mowing the lawn on his new Wheel Horse.

Nice picture of him. How long has he been gone? My dad passed on October 22, 1983. I miss him. I'm sure you miss your dad a lot too.

Same year as yours, but in April. He was only 61.

My Dad would have been 99 yesterday as well. He was Polish and was taken to Germany after they and the Russians invaded. He moved to the USA at 27 and only went back to his home in Poland when he was 42.
He saw his mother who died a year later. He died in 2013.

That is young. My dad was a couple of weeks away from being 70.

War takes so much from us. It took my husband's home too. He was three when he moved here. I also think of my dad every year on his birthday.
