Two actors who I've liked over the years,Daniel J.Travanti and Bryan Cranston share a birthday today. Daniel is 78,Bryan is 62.
Daniel's best known TV role was 'Capt. Frank Furillo' in my all time fav cop show'Hill St. Blues" '81-'87. He won 2 best Actor Emmys in'81,'82. He does periodic TV guest roles,has done regional theatre productions over the yrs
Bryan's best known TV roles are:
"Hal" in 'Malcolm in The Middle''00-'06
"Walter White" "Breaking Bad" '08-'13
He won 4 Best Actor Emmys for Bad '08-'10,'14
In 2014,he won a Tony award for Best Actor in a play"All The Way' playing Lyndon Johnson. He reprise the role in a TV movie in 2016
 

I've been rewatching Hill Street Blues recently. It's on one of the mesothelioma channels. It's a little dated and I still hate Bochco's obnoxious ex-wife, but I sure like seeing Travanti again.

Hi,I agree with you about Barbara Bosson,who played Frank's ex wife,"Fay Furrillo",and is Stephen's real life ex wife. I never liked her in that role or as an actress
I never watched,'Breaking Bad' but I do like Cranston Sue

I always figured Bochco got a big break on the alimony payments by keeping her employed. There was no other reason I could see for her being there.

I never paid much attention to Cranston before Breaking Bad, but he was very good in it.
