Dead battery

Can't open hood. Have never opened hood. I call the son......

Me: I can't open the hood. I clicked the thingy and I hear the hood pop but it doesn't open

Son the mechanic : Oh my God what are you trying to do?

Me: My battery is dead. I have the digital jumper thing I'm trying to start it

Son the mechanic: Okay there is a lever you have to slide down at the bottom of your hood

Me: I see a thingy , but I can't get it to do anything right

Son the mechanic: Oh God, can you wait until the morning? I'll come

Me: Oh good! It worked I have it open. Thanks anyway I'll hang up now

Son the mechanic: No! Don't hang up! Connect the red to the red and the black to the black and make sure you turn it on and and off after the car charges

Me: Nothing's happening

Son the mechanic: Did you charge the digital jumper?

Me: Well , I did once, but I think maybe it isn't charged now. I can't tell.

Son the mechanic: Mom, please just shut the hood. I'll be there in the morning ok?

Me: Thanks sugar, I'll just go back in now, bye

Son the mechanic: Thank God. Bye Mom

Nice your son is there for you and worries about you, glad he's coming in the morning.
Yeah he's a good kid I'm lucky to have him . Sounded a bit panicky about what I might do to my car though LOL.

Disgraceful sexual imprinting!

All Moms should be competent car mechanics, and all sons should be able to cook a souffle!

It just so happens that my son is a terrific cook and can cook a souffle, and does all the cooking around his house. So we are only half as disgraceful as you thought we were

Triple A takes care of the dead batteries for me as my son is no more mechanical than I am...

I asked my son not to come. I charged my battery charger thingy. It's made by MATCO TOOLS and it's called 'VERSAPOWER Pro'. This morning I went out and used it and started my car by myself :) The hardest part was just opening my hood. I live in the country , so I consider this gadget very handy because now I don't have to ask anyone to drive an hour out here to jump my car if I forget to turn something off and the battery goes dead. I felt happy also that I was able to do it myself. :)

That's a handy gadget! I have the old fashioned kind of jumper cables (that you have to have another car to charge off from). But you do have to know to put red to red and black to black. Sorta like dealing with anything electric!
