Decibel alert

So my Apple Watch sends me alerts if the ambient noise goes above a certain level. ( A tad bit creepy because that means it’s always listening.) Tonight, the fam (two grandparents, two parents, and two teenagers) were sitting around the table laughing and talking. Apple Watch says we have exceeded 90 decibels. Ya know, I’m pretty sure in this case, it’s a good thing. I guess a happy family is a loud family!

Well, thanks for letting us know. Not going to allow Alexia, google or apple have their hooks in me. Just my computer, credit union and (hopefully) 1 or 2 cats....

It’s well to be mindful of your level of sound environments, even if somewhat creepy to have electronics listening. There are a lot of people who think that music must be loud in order to be good, and as I hear their thumping car stereos drive past, I wonder how many occupants of those vehicles will begin to experience a degree of hearing loss at an early age…

Me! I'm getting as deaf as a post! Thank you Jimi Hendrix for my first row seat at Fillmore East! I can blame many other bands too where I was samely seated like Led Zeppelin, ETC., but I prefer to blame Jimi!

When I hear a song I love on Sirius XM I just can't help myself, UP the volume still goes!
