Wife has had both a regular cleaning and deep cleaning done. Her dentist she seen a month or so ago, only does regular cleaning, so she was referred to a dentist that does do deep cleaning. Thing is, the dentist that does the deep cleaning only does sections of her mouth at a time, so she has to see him six times. Four for the deep cleaning, once for polishing and once as a follow-up. And, even with her company dental insurance, it still will cost us $79 out-of-pocket...…..which really isn't bad for that many visits.
She's already been told that her teeth aren't in good shape at all. IOW, she could really use a new mouth full of teeth, but we just don't have that kind of money, even with dental insurance. Good thing is, her teeth really never bother her, but later that will change. Some things Seniors just can't have done due to finances (we really need to make the move out of Florida and that will cost us).
As far as my teeth go, well, I have descent "chompers", but not as good as if we spent a few thousand on my mouth...…..and that isn't going to happen either.
