I have an elderly friend, and the last time I visited her, I noticed she was cutting slits in the top of her socks, because they were too tight on her calf, and they were cutting off her circulation.

Well, her birthday is this week, and I decided to get her a few gifts. Included were several pairs of diabetes and circulatory socks. They allow circulation with a non-binding top, and they have a non-irritating smooth toe seam.

They feel nice and soft, and I'm hoping they will help her. She doesn't have diabetes, but these socks are popular with diabetics.

The best thing is that they were reasonably priced at Walmart. The brand is Dr. Scholl's, and I bought the crew sock and the lower height ankle sock, since it's summer. 4 pairs for less than $20, good deal!
