A friend of mine did a lovely Christmas scene last year, it was very beautiful. My granddaughter thought she would buy me a beginner's kit but it was so small, and I couldn't see the pattern properly because I needed to buy new glasses, so gave up.The latest thing in crafting now is Diamond Paintings. I just started. It's very meticulous and time consuming, but if you check out Pinterest, you can find some amazing stuff. This is what it looks like... If anyone is interested, maybe we can exchange tips.View attachment 301404View attachment 301403
You're right. I'm finding out that I need to get some decent prescribed eyeglasses. These Dollar Tree models aren't good enough. I also need a light board and a few other accessories I'm finding out.A friend of mine did a lovely Christmas scene last year, it was very beautiful. I think I'd rather play with kittens, too! I got into diamond painting through a friend who game me a kit as a gift. Two weeks ago he took his own life and now I've been given all his diamond projects. Don't know if I'll stick with it or not. Sure do miss him, tho.It looks like fun; but I'm trying to get kittens and I can't see working on this with them around. It does look engrossing.
I would suggest that you buy an illuminated magnifying lens on an adjustable mounting, with a built in light source. This leaves your hands free, and allows you to work easily. link. https://www.amazon.ca/Magnifying-Ad...fying+glass+with+light&qid=1694089642&sr=8-65You're right. Thanks Jim. That's a good deal. I just might invest in one of those.I would suggest that you buy an illuminated magnifying lens on an adjustable mounting, with a built in light source. Thatās beautiful work. Very tedious. You must have incredible dexterity. This type of thing must be great for helping to prevent dementia. The latest thing in crafting now is Diamond Paintings. I goofed. The link I posted is for the Canadian Amazon website. Please substitute the US website, instead. Not enough coffee in my blood stream at that time, I guess. Mea Culpa. JimB.Thanks Jim. That's a good deal. I just might invest in one of those.![]()
