I had a stint in college as an usher at the university theatre. It paid the magnificent sum of $1.25 an hour.

It was hard on the feet, but I did get to see some plays, shows and operas for free.

The worst part was that we had to stand at the back of the theatre, but we couldn't lean back on the walls for some reason.
