Did anyone here go to Woodstock in 1969?

Thanks JimT for that fascinating story!

Although Woodstock and Altamont were early disasters, by 1970, outdoor concert producers like Bill Graham learned how to safely and thoughfully put on such shows that then spread to many other cities. I attended many of the concerts listed on the link including his first two famous ones below at Kezar Stadium in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park. These concerts served as the blueprint of what two months later and across the bay (at the Oakland Coliseum Stadium) became "Day On The Green."

Dancing On The Outdoor Green #1: Grateful Dead, Waylon Jennings, New Riders of the Purple Sage (May 26, 1973)
Dancing On The Outdoor Green #2: Led Zeppelin, Lee Michaels, The Tubes, Roy Harper (June 2, 1973)

Day on the Green - Wikipedia

It was at the Led Zeppelin show that a top San Francisco drug dealer gal for musicians brought this rock dancer to her home and became a good friend. Unfortunately, all during my 20s, my painful pseudoaneurysm medical condition I suffered at age 20.7 often left me like a zombie for months.

I would never go to something like that with thousands of people. I was too young anyways. I was 14. But I believe my older brother might have wanted to go at 17 years of age, and my parents said no way.
