Did you ever have something turn out worse after it was repaired?

One time I brought my car to a nationally know car repair chain and left it for the day and said I would pick it up after work - around 4 PM. I forget what the problem was, but I left it all day and went to pick it up after work and it still wasn't ready. I waited there until closing hours. When I was driving home, the front tire peeled off the rim right on a busy highway and this was the day before cell phones.

I have my Mom's cuckoo clock that cuckooed at the wrong time. Got it fixed and it cuckooed every half hour and then some. Got it fixed again and the little bird didn't come out at all. It drove me cuckoo. No pun intended

I also had a tooth worked on several times. Each time it was worse than before. Then it fell out. I should have let Mother Nature handle it in the first place.

Yes, twice. When my TV was not working right, I called the cable Comcast company. After following her directions, the TV stopped working entirely.
Then when I called AT&T for my compute (2 months ago), after an hour with them on the phone from the Phillipines, the computer stopped working at all.
(I got it right myself.) These are only 2 examples. Long time, a car mechanic made the car worse.

A Mercedes 300D, a friend fixed the engine in his garage/repair shop,
the engine mechanic did a nice rebuild on it, there wasn't really much
wrong with it to start with, but when I got it back, it was terrible the
exhaust smoked badly etc., etc., etc.

He didn't charge me for the job which took around two weeks.

Several years later I had a look at the engine myself and found that the
timing chain was refitted one tooth out before top dead center.

I scrapped it.

Mike.

yup i sure have---put my little plymouth horizon in for repairs when i drove it down the road it was shaking like mad --i took it back he said it was the design of the car--the dam twit

another time i put my car in for and oil change i was headed for my part time job it was smoking like mad like it was on fire-i pulled over the side of the road and a man came along to look at it and they had forgot to put the oil cap back on

Once my mom went to the cemetery to water the flowers she had put on her mother's gravesite. When she was leaving the cemetery, her car suddenly just seized up. She had to walk to a nearby house and call me to come and get her (this was before cell phones were common). She had the car towed to a local garage where they said the timing belt has snapped. Some teenage kid tried to fix it, but the belt slipped off when she drove it home. Good thing I was following her. We went back to the garage, but all my mom got was a shrug and told "We did all we could do." She had to take it to the Mazda dealership garage.
