Did You Get An Email About Facebook Protect?

I did not as of yet but I know someone who did. According to the article below, one would most likely think it's a phishing email but it is legit. If someone does not sign up for FB Protect by the deadline given, their account could be locked. One can sign up for it via the FB app or website even if not prompted to do so by email. As I was reading the article my thought was it's just another way for FB to keep tabs on what people are reading and posting. Also recently FB warned a few of my friends that they might wind up in FB jail (not using those words of course). One woman said she's noticed that since then, she hardly gets any responses to her posts.

I think we are capable of securing our own feed. I have my privacy set that I can only get friend requests from friends of friends. I know there is a way that only friends can see what you post..but not sure what buttons to push to get there,,,I think it is part of the FB security features

That option should be in the same menu where you click the friend of friends option. I believe that is if you open you FB Edit Profile section. Can't say for sure where to find it since it may be in different places according to what device you're using.
