Did you know how the Jackson 5 got their name ?

I've just been watching an interview with Marlon, Jermaine and Tito.. and they said that when they were kids, they were performing at a nursing home.. An elderly white lady asked their name.. they didn't have a name for the band , so she asked what their surname was, and when they told her she said '' why not call yourselves the Jackson 5''.. and so it became...

Sounds nice and cool, but I'm not sure it happened that way, sounds more like the name their father came up with, next they'll be saying that[Diana Ross]discovered them, when in fact it was[Bobby Taylor] who heard them and told [Gladys Knight].

Not true..it happened exactly the way I stated.. I just watched Marlon, Tito and Jermaine tell the story...

having grown up with them.. as did my nearest brother, and nearest sister.. we know all that info on wiki about them, being the fans we were back in the day .. ..what made me wryly smile knowing all the allegations of brutality about Joe Jackson.. was in that latest Video I posted which I think we June this year.. and the guys are all in the their 60's.. they refr to their father as their mothers' husband..

'groomed ' them in a cruel unloving way especially Michael,...so talented...so sad
