Hubby and I and our son voted today. There weren't many people at the early voting place. Not like a presidential year that's for sure. That's a shame.. There is so much at stake this midterm... Go vote!!

No one wants to sell me a single stamp, I don't need a whole pack to mail one ballot dang-on-it. :aargh: Guess I'm going to have to take it to the post office and hope for the best.

We mailed in our ballots several days ago. The mail-in ballots take 2 stamps.

Check and be sure April, I guess it varies by location and the size of the envelope/ballot. Our was 70 cents.

Good that you checked, it's hard to even keep track on what a stamp costs nowadays, with the forever stamps there's no amount to look at like years ago. They keep jackin' up the postage so much, they probably don't want to rub it in our faces, lol. :playful:

I know, I do like the forever stamps, but I rarely mail anything. Though it might be a good idea for me to just go ahead and get the forever stamps and hold on to them, well, forever and a day, use over the years as needed.

I still mail out the majority of my bills by regular mail, so I buy books of stamps at the post office.

The boyfriend and I marched down to the early voting place and, as usual, cancelled out each other's votes for Governor and a couple of other items. I don't know why we bother. I'm not at all enthusiastic about either candidate so I voted for the one I dislike the *least*. I did debate writing in "Bozo the Clown".....I mean, what's another clown in the governor's office, after all?

Belive me I feel your pain, when I watched last Tuesday's debate, I was even more discouraged and almost tore up my ballot, but then gave it more thought and I guess in the long run there's a possibility there is a lesser of two evils in some ways, but, I could do without either.

Oh and Sea, it's a good thing I went directly to the post office to mail the ballot because as I was standing in, one of the post office workers came through the line seeing if she could epediate things for some people who maybe were just in line to buy stamps or had questions prior to reaching the desk. This worker looked at what I was mailing and said, oh, that's going to be $0.70. I said no, I received a slip stating postage would be one first class stamp, she argued with me and said no, got to the desk and was told that person was wrong that it was .49 cent in our county and that worker lives in a different county and was quoting their rate. :wtf::crying: I totally unequivocally :heart:Florida. I know I rank on the state, I don't hate it, but, sometimes, to the moon Alice.
