I've had a couple of readings, and both were accurate and reasonably useful. Both times the person giving the reading was well recommended/trustworthy. The most interesting reading, in fact, was by my ex-BIL, who has been a good friend of ours for 50 yrs. One woman used a deck of playing cards; my ex-BIL doesn't use anything at all, just a visualization technique he learned.
Ex-BIL is a techie nerd by profession; he only took a class in doing readings because he was reeling from the divorce and wanted to ground himself to let go of his negative feelings. He and my sister had two young kids so it was important that they still be able to work together for the good of the kids. CA prefers shared custody if at all possible.
I became interested in doing tarot readings but don't like the popular Waite deck. I do like the Aleister Crowley deck and own that one. I rarely did readings and now only very occasionally do them for myself. I got a little freaked when I did a reading for a friend long ago and saw him breaking up with his wife. I only told him the two of them viewed the world a little differently, and about a year later when we saw him again, he mentioned they had gotten a divorce.
Giving someone bad news isn't much fun, so I decided if I was going to see unpleasant things, best I see them about myself!
