Do I have a problem.

Sometimes I will describe something and I know I am calling it the wrong color.
Like the red car. When describing it I will accidentally say the blue car I mean the green car then I will say no it was the red car and I will say I knew it was red but even while thinking about red I called it the wrong color twice or three times.
Just wondering if that indicates anything?
Just mostly happens with colors.

Maybe. It seems a bit off just because it's with colors. You may want to research that on the web.

It's like a mother that has to run through all her kids' names before she yells at the right one..... "Johnny....Tony....Bobby....you over there in the red shirt...get over here!"

I think we have so many words rattling around in our heads, we sometimes have to try out a few until we get to the right one.

Anyway, that's my theory and I'm sticking to it. It sounds better than, "I'm old and senile."

When I was in my mid-20s, I had an eye exam. For some reason, the guy showed me cards of different colors. I was supposed to identify the colors. In the middle of that, he showed me a red card, and I blurted out "yellow".

He was surprised, but not as surprised as I was, since I knew the card was red. We had quite a discussion about it, and finally the guy shut up and finished the exam.

It has never happened again. But, like @jujube mentioned, half the time I called one of the kids, I ran through every child's and the dog's name. Whenever I was with my mother and my daughter, I'd call my daughter my sister's name. And I would swear to you that my daughter and my sister are nothing alike.

Anyway, can't blame it on old age because I was either young or middle-aged when all that happened.
