When I was a Scout we had Bob a Job week as a fundraiser.
Visiting peoples homes to do jobs for them. Be it gardening, window cleaning, car washing etc.
We would be paid in Bobs, 20 cent increments. Though most people paid $1 or $2.
We also had "Bottle Week"
We went door to door collecting bottles for recycling cash.
I'm talking 1970's.
Do you "employ" Boy Scouts to do those menial job around the home?

In USA I 'member back when I was a kidling cub scout that the boy scouts would mow yard, rake leaves etc in order to earn
some money for their treasury...now if you mention work to them they run away LOL....I'm serious, I tried several times to hire local scouts to rake leaves and would hear a definite no......

So how do they maintain their clubs, pay the rates etc?

Years ago the big money maker for the local Boy Scouts was a newspaper drive.

People saved the daily papers and a couple times each year the scouts would collect them and sell them to scrap dealers.

These days everything is too dangerous for kids and parents are too busy. I assume that most parents pay dues.
