Do u have a Bidet?

Forgive my ignorance, but what does Dou mean? I 'googled' it and the only reference was to Dou Gerrit who was a pupil of Rembrandt. I doubt if he had a bidet.
I don't have a bidet either.

I saw my first one in Paris in 1967. Had no idea what it was for....I assumed it for washing your feet, so I did. Very handy.

I've seen them in Paris & Belgium but not many here.

I don't have (or need) one; although it would be nice for my dog to drink out of; he wouldn't drown if he fell in.

No. I've stayed in hotels that have them. The last one in Dubai.

I have a hand held bidet's attached to the toilets (plural?) hanging next all my toilets. It's more effective, space saving, and money saving. I've done this for 30 years I think. I don't feel clean without one. I have attached them myself in the past though it's been a long time. Here's a pic of one of mine

douche ou laver - shower or wash

We had that in our house in Thailand and most public toilets have them.
