Do We Have Any U.S. Members Or Their Families In The Tornado, Severe Storm Areas?

Seeing how many of these damaging storms passed through the southeast in the last couple of days is frightening. If anyone lives in those areas or has family members that do, I pray that you, yours and your properties will not be adversely affected. Everyone heed the warnings and please stay safe! Unbelievable damage across several states. Unmute video:

Indeed, stay safe and pay attention!!

Yesterday and last light were very stormy around here. We had tornados touch down about 20 miles from us and tear up a lot of property, but they did not come into close to us. Having seen up close what they can do, I pay attention.

One touched down in my back yard a few years ago while I was watching the high wind whip the big pines around. All of a sudden, a funnel came down and grabbed a large tree right in front of me. It twisted that tree off like it was a toothpick, tossed it casually to the side and disappeared back into the clouds. Other things around the base of that tree were not disturbed. The diameter of the tree where it was twisted off was close to two feet thick. The scene made a "Believer" out of me since it was so "close up and personal."

I did not get much sleep last night with all the thunder and lightning, but I do not have any major tree limbs to clean up today.

I'm so glad you and Mrs. Pecos weren't injured when the tornado hit so close to your home! Also praying that ya'll won't be impacted now or in the future. My father told me that one of his brothers, who I never got the chance to meet, had been killed by a tornado. Please you and @MountainRa stay safe.

We had one hit about 25 miles North of us Tuesday night.....tore up a farmer's barn, but no injuries reported. The last one reported in our immediate area was almost 100 years ago....we hope it stays that way. We keep the weather radio turned up to full volume, and pay close attention to the weather forecasts.
