Do You Ask About "Price Matching" At A Store?

Isn't the first time we've found a cheaper price for something online, using our iPhone, that we wanted to buy at a store.

Yesterday, we bought a can of high quality boat wax that original price was $37 and we paid $20 due to finding a cheaper price online on our iPhone. The wax was very highly recommended by a former boat detailer.

A year ago, we bought a nice sound bar system that was on sale. After setting it up at home, we found online a $60 cheaper price. Took the receipt back to the store, showed them our iPhone price we found and they refunded our credit card for the $60.

So, do you ask about "Price Matching" when shopping. Some stores do it, some don't. Many stores won't take an Amazon price saying they will only take a retailer's price.

I never thought of that. Good idea.

When you do that here , you usually have to have the sale ad with you . I suppose now a days , you can pull it up on the phone and show them. I'm out of luck when it comes to electronic coupons or stuff like this.

Wal mart has and app called savings catcher. I don't have it, but my daughter tells me I need it. You just upload your receipt and they put money on a gift card if the items are on sale or cheaper within so many days. I don't really understand the ins and outs but she swares it's worth doing. I don't carry a smart phone but you can also do it online at their web site.

No one hardly can beat me when it comes to grocery store price matching. Generally I will have at least 30 items and less than 10 are not a price match. Yesterday I bought 21 items, only 2 were not a match. Between that and my points I get quite a savings.

My wife has the Walmart Savings Catcher. She enters every Walmart receipt we get. One time we got $60 of groceries for free, with the Savings Catcher thing. We also use fast-food coupons all the time.

A lot of our dvd movies and music cd’s we got at a discount. Big discounts is another reason we love shopping on Black Friday, even with all the crowds.
