Do You check your receipts?

After shopping, especially groceries...if.. there's "quite a list"..

Do you look over your receipt (s)?

Have you found error(s)...and what do you do about it?

Go back to the store for refund or adjustment...

Or "it's just not worth it!"

Do tell!🤗

yes I do check if I've bought a lot because sometimes the bill comes higher than I might have been expecting, so before I leave the store I check. (y)

I do. I will usually notice a mistake at check out if there is one.

I bought some bulk organic oatmeal at WINCO and put the bin number on the twist tie. I did notice when I looked at my receipt that the cashier put in regular oatmeal, which I'm sure the cashier had in his memory, so I got it cheaper. I'm not going to say anything next time I go in and pay the difference. However when I bought it again, I did state "that's the organic oatmeal."

If the bill doesn’t feel right I check it. Sometimes I don’t do it until I get home. Lately I’ve been doing self-checkout for small quantities so can usually catch it if the sale price didn’t enter properly. Depending on the amount or the inefficiency of the store that helps makes my decision for a return. I’m not under any time crunch so spending 5 minutes to get a correction is no big deal. I won’t drive to a store for a $2 mistake. If I’m going there anyway in a day or two, I will. That happened with a chocolate bar that I only purchased because it was so significantly reduced from $3 to $1. I was right next door to that store the next day so popped in.

One of the health food stores I do watch. For example they put boxed cereal on sale at good prices but I have to make sure I get the sale price because once it didn't ring up. I really pay attention at that store so I can catch them right when they are scanning.

I am all for people checking their receits. However, I am not for them standing right in the doorway of the store looking at their piece of paper, blocking my exit out of the store. It happens every time I go and it's starting to get on my nerves. MOVE OVER!

By the way, I bought $41.01 worth of gas. When I got my credit card statement, there was also a bill for $200 for gas from the same store on the same day. Something awful stupid here since I drive a little 4 cylinder car. I got that deleted but my advice is to always check your receits and then later your credit cards. It's a computer world but "screw-ups" happen often. Don't trust those machines. It's "Buyer Beware."

Back when I was a kid and went to the store with my mom, the checker always waited for people to get to the register before they started checking your stuff. That way you could watch them and make sure they got everything right. I HATE that they start scanning your stuff while you're still putting it on the conveyor.

Yeah, I check the receipt before I leave the store.

I use delivery but I always check the receipt they email me. If not correct they always make it right. When I did go inside stores I always checked my receipt as they scanned each item. I wanted to be sure my coupons loaded correctly also.

I check the grocery store receipts only if it seems too high for what I bought. These days everything is so much higher it is shocking! The last 2 times we got gas put in our car, it was $100.00+ never before have we had a fill up cost that much!

The only place I check is Walmart. Walmart's policy is that it's the price at the register that counts, and not any signage by the goods. If there's a price tag beneath, it doesn't necessarily mean that's what you'll get charged. Wallyworld is noted for adding a few dollars at the register.
