I just now completed the Western Australian Newspaper 28 clue crossword in 9 minutes. Whoo Hoo.

...me too , I've never filled in a crossword in pencil....I do⦠in ink
What crosswords do is fill your head with so many words. Words that one day might be required, words that you can dig out from the deep recesses of the mind.I was never a fan, but I never tried to do one seriously. I can see they would have an appeal for a lot of people.

Never!
But to redeem my family, my mother used to do the NYT crosswords in ink!
Crossword puzzles irritate me.
I used to save the Sunday N.Y. Time puzzle in the magazine section and found it challenging. I would work on it all through the week; I became better at it, but I do not remember ever completing it. When I moved to CA I would work the LA Times, but now it is hard for me cause of vision limitations...darn.I do traditional crossword puzzles every day. I generally print them out from 3 online newspapers: The New York Times, The New York Post, and The Los Angeles Times.
I don't like doing them online. I'd rather print them out and do them the old fashioned way.
The NY Times uses a 21 X 21 box grid on Sundays, which prints out too small, so I don't do their Sunday crossword.
I used to like Sudoku, which is a logic based puzzle. I've thought about taking that up again. But logic games are my true love. They are tests of deductive reasoning. The Indianapolis Star used to have a crossword puzzle in their Sunday paper. People would fill it out and send it in. They would have a weekly drawing for money. My dad did it every Sunday and won money several times. I like Crosswords but I haven't figured out what's so enticing about Suduku (sp?).
I'm a big fan of Logic puzzles... .but I just can't get my head around Soduku.... I'm not a maths dunce by any means.. but I just can't do sodukuI used to like Sudoku, which is a logic based puzzle. Now, if crosswords had come with the possibility of winning money, I'd have been a lot more interested.
Sudoku is okay, but often it makes me want to smoke and drink. Darn it! I bet I'd get the correct answer a lot faster that way!I'm a big fan of Logic puzzles... .but I just can't get my head around Soduku.... I'm not a maths dunce by any means.. but I just can't do soduku
