To be honest I hate the cleanup. Maybe most of that comes down to no dishwasher and a small and awkward kitchen layout. The issue is when I read a recipe I either want to try it out... or one that it makes me think of.

I don't mind the clean-up, but then both my husband and I do it together, so it gets done faster.

Yes, I've always enjoyed "reading recipes" as if they were a novel. When my daughters were younger, I'd take them to the library "quite often" to check out books to read at home, but I always checked out cookbooks. And if I enjoyed the cookbook, I'd order that cookbook. I'm a cookbook finatic.
