That is, to make your life simpler. I rarely do, but I recently came up with one. We have a double sink in the kitchen and we recycle. We wash dishes in one sink and I pile the recyclables in the other (wine bottles, plastics, cat food cans, etc.) Not only was it unsightly, I was always finding myself trying to juggle various recyclables in my arms and take them to the bin in the garage. It often required multiple trips.
So the other day, we were at At Home and I saw a plastic basket for $5.99 that is just slightly smaller than the sink. I now pile all the recyclables into it, take the whole thing out and dump them into the bin. I couldn't be happier than if I'd spent $$$hundreds!
The other hack Hubby came up with. I traded my sedan with a trunk and grocery hooks for a hatchback. He has a small crossover and bought a collapsable trunk organizer with 3 large bins. I bought the same for my car and it is great for keeping groceries in place. It is something like this.
