Do you find it emabarrassing to discuss finances with significant other, banker, children?

I don't know why, but talking about money is sometimes considered taboo. I know Old Mack is gonna be surprised when he sees the tab for cleaning and painting supplies. Oh well, the last estimate we had for a pro to pressure wash and paint the outside of the house was $2,200. I haven't spent nearly that much, yet.

Shouldn't be a problem if you are working as a team.

Not with my SO, no need to discuss with my 52 y/o son, don't have a banker per se.

I would say that we Brits are more reserved when it comes to talking about money. I think my OH is happier to let me handle the finances, but I insist on involving her on major items. I will talk about specifics with my bank manager, but I don't talk to anyone other than that.
