Do you get cold more easily now?

I am feeling much colder this year (at 64yrs old) than in previous years, but it has been a gradual change over the past 10 years. Right now at the computer I'm wearing two sweatshirts, one is a hoodie and I pull the hood up occasionally. Plus I have a heated mouse pad. And last weekend I was looking at heated gloves on Amazon. Not sure how well they would work when typing tho, they have some without fingers that plug into the computer usb port, but I'm still just thinking about whether to get them.
When I was younger I used to be outside a lot (about 4 hrs a day on workdays and all day on weekends) and I could normally judge the temperature very well, then I got Lyme disease and it was like suddenly the world felt 10 degrees colder.
Another weird temperature reaction I had in the past, was once when I accidentally got drenched in freezing weather, and out of nowhere my body turned on some magical heat source, like having a continuous hot flash, that kept me warm while I finished fixing and filling the water trough.

As I have gotten older, I find that I cannot take the heat or the cold like I used too. I gave up using my push reel mower here in South Carolina when I turned 68 as the heat just exhausted me. I cannot take real cold weather either and would want no part of going back to South Korea during the winter.

And now at 78, I deal with the effects of this hormone treatment for my prostrate cancer. My internal heating/cooling system is completely haywire and jumps up and down like a yoyo. Generally at this time of year I am cold, and then a hot flash will come along and have me shedding the sweater and throwing off the blankets.

I am really looking forward to finishing this hormone treatment in a few months and getting back to a more consistent internal temperature setting. My wife runs hot and can sleep under a thin cotton blanket at 66F while I will have two wool blankets on top of that. Until, of course when a hot flash comes along and I am down to just the sheet for about 15 minutes.

LOL, Isn't getting old an adventure?

I loved to do my heavy duty yard work in the fall or winter, of course would layer clothing so I could regulate the temperature.

Since I've been....over 60 I've found that I'm super cold sensitive, it's costing a fortune to keep the house comfortable(using propane).

When it's cold outside I don't want to do nothing(anything) outside...at all. Ever.
Yeah that's me too. I told my doctor about it and she ordered blood tests. Apparently feeling cold is an indicator of diabetes. My blood test was neg for any sign of diabetes, so that was eliminated as a poss cause.

I'm 60 and so far I'd say no. I'm from the damp climate of the Pacific Ocean. Maybe that has something to do with it. I will say when I lived in another country, desert climate, that cold at night bit me like no other. Even more than when I lived where it snowed.

Exactly like my friend who had these treatments too. They were successful. Good luck to you too.

I absolutely can not control my body temperature. In the evening I sit around with a microwaved beanie bag. May get up two or three times per night to reheat it, if I have insomnia.
