Do You Have A Financial Self Indulgence?

An indulgence for me is a trip to a place like Home Goods. If you're not familiar with the chain their gimmick is to constantly rotate stock. If you see something you really want you best grab it. There might only be one or two available. But it is great fun and the prices are very good. I like when I can shop and have enough to surprise gift my family.

The other day I went and found Jelly Belly soda for the kids, a huge spider squeaky toy big enough for the dogs to share, wonderfully fragranced almond body wash for me, log chews for the rats, a shirt and shorts for my daughter, a Game of Thrones magazine for my son...sorry I left out the cats but they have enough treats and toys at the moment.

I would have to say books are my first love (movers HATE us!) and I will have to cull the herd once more before we move again. eBay is sooooo tempting and I refuse to join Etsy because I know I'd always be buying pretty things that I don't need!

I also collect vintage linens - LOVE linen sheets and pillowcases - especially with embroidery. One collection of embroidered tea towels hangs on a over-the-door, multi-bar towel holder in the powder room. My pillowcases are all ironed, with a little spray starch, and stacked in the closet but I use them ALL when I can.

Wine is good too as well as a good micro-brewed beer! (My favorite is Brown's brown ale from Troy, NY.) We are SOOO looking forward to the plethora of restaurants in Portland, Maine. I'm not a fan of southern nor fast food.
