I bet her kids will turn out ok....eventually. I mean, it sounds like they're with other people more than their mother, and those people's outlooks will probably shape them the most. Not having more children. We had one son who married a drama queen who raises their two sons according to what she sees on Facebook and Tik tok. Way too many pics on social media. Always on camera. No interest is really being a Mom. Takes kids to day care even when she's not working. We have to beg to see them. Son seems to he afraid to piss her off. If he only had a sibling to help him out. And if we had another child to be close to all our lives would be better.
This is a great response, @NorthernLight ... I try not to call things regrets either because anything that would have been different would have changed how my life turned out and I kind of like it the way it is. There are things I maybe wish I'd done differently, but not to the point of regretting the way I chose to do them. For much of my life I was missing important information about things that "everyone" knows. I was isolated because of my personality. Should I regret being me?
Other things too. But you get the idea. If I'd done things differently, I wouldn't be me. But I do regret not having more money. That was/is a biggie.
Not putting all my money into the original Apple IPO...What's your biggest regret in life?
I traveled a lot for business, to much of the world. My regret is that I didn't take more time for myself to see and enjoy places when I could. Twice I did trips from the US to Europe spending less than 36 hours there... too much work, too little play.Mine is that I didn't travel more when I had the opportunity
I hope not, from what I have seen of you here I think you are an interesting and kind person. We need more, not less, of those.Should I regret being me?
When he got back from WWll my dad was offered a piece of the McDonald's enterprise for $500. He had to pass because he didn't have it. But he could have borrowed it, easily. Not putting all my money into the original Apple IPO...
This really is a hard question, there are lots of things I would change if I could, but I can't and am ok with that.
I like that!My regret has to do with my brain I guess...regret that I'm
"different" than others...Not crazy, just have different outlook
on what life is and is not, and not always in agreement with others......oh well....
My grandparents worked for 3M when they first started. They made sandpaper out of a garage. It was during the depression and the company was having a hard time of it. They offered my Grandparents stock options as part of their pay. They turned it down. When he got back from WWll my dad was offered a piece of the McDonald's enterprise for $500. He had to pass because he didn't have it. But he could have borrowed it, easily.
You probably understand the world more than most. I don't see that as a regret. More like a blessing. My regret has to do with my brain I guess...regret that I'm

I just read it.... I am SO SO very sorry.2 monster regrets.
First, I failed to see the same demons that haunted me, possessed my beautiful daughter.
I can't talk about the other here.
trouble is.. if you'd had another sibling for your son, they may have the same outlook... so don't beat yourself up about this.. this is something your son is going to have to figure out for himself.. if he doesn't want to have that woman as his wife, he'll eventually put a halt to it.. but I understand how painful for you it must be to see your son and grandchildren living a way that's alien to you..Not having more children.
