I had a stalker for a couple of years, even though I was married and never had anything to do with him. He came onto my land and watched me when I was outside. The phone rang and there was heavy breathing. He never threatened me or confronted me at home.I have to ask if anyone ever had to deal with someone you dated becoming a stalker?
I had one who did not think that I had the right to break it off. She did not get as nasty as some that you read about, but she was a pain for several weeks. For the most part it was phone calls in the middle of the night, but for awhile I thought I might get a brick through the window. My experience was probably nothing compared to what you ladies might have gone through.
IME and observation of others, platonic relationship is unlikely if there's a spark in one or both parties.The one I had a crush on, all through high school, came calling after we were out of school. Problem was, I had a boyfriend by then. I sometimes wonder how things would have turned out, had I gone with him to the party he'd invited me to. Perhaps we would have at least had a friendship.
