Because of Armenian influence in this area, beef,lamb and pork Kebabs are quite popular.

I love kebobs. Just don't make them anymore. Not worth cooking for just one person. Those look delicious and you probably had good company to share with. How is the implant going, Lon. Are the adjustments about done?

Love 'em - or at least, my spouse does, LOL. His preference is lamb because we haven't been able to find anyplace offering goat, which is the meat he really prefers. Fortunately, there's several hundred Mediterranean and Afghani restaurants within easy reach, so no need for me to make them.

I've become very fond of chapli kabob, which is ground beef (or lamb, or a combo), pressed thin and fried very crispy. If you're familiar with Smashburger, it's the same concept.

Pilaf and lots of spiced yogurt sauce - tzikaki to the Greeks, raita to the Indo-Asians, mast e khiar to the Afghanis - and a good tart vinaigrette on the salad!
