Do You Like Old B&W Movies?

I like black and white a lot, often more than color but I hate watching movies on
a computer screen or small television. Really hate it because it is very inauthentic
way to see the film that was meant for a theatre. That's why I see few DVDs.
(My TV screen is not so large either.)
To me it is like seeing a large or famous painting on a postcard. No one would claim
that he saw the Mona Lisa by looking at a postcard or postit note.
When I saw The Greatest Showman in the movie, Hugh Jackman appeared first
and thanked the audience for coming. Nice, huh?

Thanks for the site Mike. One thing I do not like is when they colourize old B&W movies to turn them into colour.

Recently watched a Christmas special of I Love Lucy, it was awful, she had orange hair like Bozo the Clown.

I totally agree...

Thanks Mike and Marie. I'm not a huge fan of B & W although I do respect the lighting aspects and there are some I really do like......I couldn't imagine "The Third Man" in color for instance!

Oh I loved Brief Encounter and it is part of my collection. My favorite station is TCM which shows so many old films that I had forgotten about.

Thank you Mike and Marie for the links. I prefer B&W movies. Barbara Stanwick, Joseph Cotton, Henry Fonda, etc. The only channel I miss on cable is TCM.
