Do You listen to Sounds for Healing?

I have enjoyed some classical music for relaxing but recently I have started to daily listen to Reiki music. There are different frequencies for anything you can think of! I have no idea if they improve anything because one can always say you could have felt worse without the tape..right?? LOL
So every morning now I listen to healing, sometimes with ear buds. I esp enjoy the endorphin releases of serotonin and dopamine. I also like nerve regeneration and whole-body healing and so many more. I was just wondering if anyone else is into this ..I get all the vibrational music from u-tube either on my TV or iPhone..There are so many sources..I have also listened to Om chants, Gregorian monks etc. also nature sounds especially for sleeping. I like rain and ocean waves.

Sounds good to me! I often listen to ocean waves and use them to fall asleep to. I have to look into some of those.

The ocean is super healing for me....but not a soundtrack of it. I have to be there and hear it first hand. I find soundracks of rain, songbirds, babbling creeks, spa music, etc are a little annoying after the first minute.

But walking barefoot through the sand, sitting down on a sand dune, closing my eyes, and listening to the sounds of the surf...sometimes mellow, sometimes crashing, sometimes roaring (it's humbling to hear it's power), the seabreeze, wind, seabirds, sometimes children playing in the sand.

Did you know, on a calm day, if there are dolphins as far out as a football field and you put your head underwater, you can hear them communicating with one another as if you're right there with them?

I was very fortunate to live along the cliffs right at the water's edge and slept to the sounds of the ocean and her creatures every night. Now, I still live near the water so I can hear it when it's BIG but the sounds of coyotes serenading me at night are what I love now.

I once had a cassette tape that recorded an actual walk through forest, open field, across a stream and onward to the beach. It was wonderful. I gave it to a girlfriend who lived inland and we would fall asleep to it after . . . well, you know...

Oh yes, music is medicine for my soul.

Music has helped pull me through some of my darkest times.

You've listed one such favourite of mine, that being Gregorian chants.

Anything in the way of Chamber, Orchestral, Classical, Symphony, Concerto, Suite, Baroque, Renaissance, by far these selections are my favourite.

Binaural beats and isochronic tones work for me to help relieve stress and anxiety or promote sleep; some have nature sounds and even subliminal hypnosis incorporated within the audio. The science on this is sketchy, but it does seem helpful for me... 🎼

Fyrefox I listened to some..do you know how important it is to use earphones when listening to binaural beats? I often use my earbuds but at times do not..I agree the science behind it is sketchy but I also think the theories make sense. At any rate, I think the listening is helpful..even if it is just a placebo effect. :)

Serenity4321. Here are two other ways that I find work wonders in helping me relax while flushing away any stress I may have.

Gongs played with friction mallets.

The other is ambient videos like this.

Here some bus stations are playing classical music through
the loudspeakers, it cures teenage gangs from gathering and
being a general nuisance when they have no intention of going
anywhere.

Some music is reputed to help healing I think that it will have
to be soft and calming.

Mike.

When I'm meditating or writing, I enjoy the sounds of Native American flute, tuning forks, and crystal singing bowls.

Have you ever heard of plant music? The music is performed by a plant, thanks to a specific electronic device. Enjoy!
