Do you look very like your family members?

It's always fascinating seeing someone's family. Sometimes it's like looking at a different version of a friend, their voices can be incredibly alike and mannerisms.
My husband's brothers look very like him and it's unsettling and fascinating seeing them together. I look very different from my sister though.

One time I met a neighbour while out walking, outside her house. But she was seemed not to know me and something just wasn't right. It was unbelievable when the door opened and she walked out. Her twin was visiting! What a laugh we had, I had no idea she was a twin, there was NO difference at all. Twins are an entire fascination of their own of course.

So do you look alike in your family?

My sisters are both blue eyed blondes whereas I have dark hair, eyes and olive skin, as I child I always thought I was adopted until my mother pointed out that her and my father were also dark

Nope none of the siblings look like each other.. in fact when we tell people we're siblings, particularly when we were younger.. no-one believed us..

However 2 boys looks very much like our father.. one sister is the image of our father.. yet doesn't look like the boys... ..my youngest sister looks like my mother..

Once when I was on a trip to Hobart, Tasmania I was waiting for a friend to pick me up. A young man approached me and asked if I was related to F****n I said Yes , I'm his Mother, he said "I thought so, he looks just like you". Small world eh???

I had a similar experience. I'd left my home town as a child and came back when I was 22. Was walking to work one day when a woman stopped me and asked if I was the daughter of (my mother's name). So I guess my answer is yes, I resemble my mother.

Yes, the older I get the more I look like my mom, I inherited the pale blue eyes that run in my mother's side and the thick head of hair in my father's side, I see the pale blue eyes in my grandchildren.

No, we all look like we were delivered by different mailmen, as the old saying goes.

Every combination of eye and hair color and complexion. Different builds, too. Radically different personalities, also.

When we finally learned about and saw a picture of my father's "biological" mother, one of my sisters had a strong resemblance to her.

Now, on the other hand, my former brother-in-law had 7 siblings and they all looked like they had been cut out with the same cookie cutter (which was not bad for the boys but very unfortunate for the girls).

My late husband had 10 siblings. There was a bit of an appearance theme running through them but nothing striking.
